That time of year

Christmas season is upon us.  After last year was so hard, I am excited to have more time to do fun things with the boys.

We got the tree up and ready to go.  I should probably let them help me with it but I am to OCD to do that until they get a little bigger.  We also have our advent calendar up but I don't have a picture of it.

On December 1st, our elf Fred came back from the north pole.  I know that some people use the elf as a way to get their kids to behave but I don't really do that.  We just have fun seeing what our elf got into over night.  G is very excited about finding him but as always D just does it for me.  My favorite thing about Fred is that G calls him our smurf.  I just have to laugh every time he says it.

Fred brought the boys breakfast and a little treat.

He was so excited!!!!

G is more excited.

I am looking forward to all the fun we are going to have this Christmas season!!

They change sooo much

I don't know how many of you know this but G went to a Mother's Day Out program this year.  I was also working there so he was still with me even on those days.  We finished up our year last week.  I don't have any pictures of his program because I was helping with it but here are his first and last day pictures.

Not only does he look more grown up, he is a totally different kid.  He went into school a shy kid who didn't really have a lot to say and now he talks all the time.  He is still more reserved than D but he is coming out of his shell for sure.  He still wants to be a superhero but right now he loves the Ninja Turtles.  He always has his nunchucks (I have no idea how to spell that word) or one of the swords.  He is a fun loving kid  who keeps me on my toes.  I love to listen to him giggle with his brother.  This kid has my heart.  I am so blessed by both of my boys.

Who knew we would have to wear long sleeves and jackets on May 21st?  This crazy weather!!

Kindergarten is almost over

We have almost made it through the school year. It was not what I would call 3asy but we got through. We had a few rough days but all in all it was a good year. He learned so much and is still very excited about school. We still have a couple of days of kindergarten left but he is excited to go to 1st grade. They had a sweet little program where they got to walk across the stage and all got a little diploma. He also received the excellence in reading award. He is growing up too fast.

I think we will recreate this picture when he is a senior.

Love you buddy. I am proud of everything you accomplished this year!!!
