Things about G

There are some things about our little G that I want to make sure I never forget.  I know they soon he will grow out of them and I will miss them so I am writing them down so I have them forever.  He just has these little quirks that make his personality even more sweet than it was already.  

 

He loves sunglasses.  He wants to wear them all the time.  He doesn't care if they are on his face, on his head, or around his neck as long as they are on. 

 

 

He also loves hats.  D would never wear hats but G wants to wear them all the time.  A few weeks ago he had a fever that I couldn't get to go away and because he loves hats so much I wet a washrag with cold water and put it on his head, he wore it for hours.  He puts them on by himself most of the time and pulls them down so low he has to tip his head back to look at you. 

 

He sits on our speaker all the time.  He does everything here.  In these pictures he is playing with some nesting monkeys but he also sits here to have his snacks and drive cars on the entertainment center.  He spends a lot of time reading books on it also.  It is just his little spot. 

 

Another thing he does that just cracks me up is wearing one shoe and that shoe is usually D's.  He loves to put shoes on but doesn't manage to get both of them on.  He gets one on and then he gets distracted before he gets the other one on.  He walks around with one shoe on a lot mostly on the wrong foot. 

 

 

I just love all of the little things that make him the little person he is and I can't wait to see what he will become. 



Decorating the Tree

 This is how they decorated the tree.  I have worked really hard at leaving the ornaments they hung up where they are so there are blank spots.  It is almost making me crazy, but G takes them off and moves them all the time.  I put all the plastic ones at the bottom for just they reason. 

 This is about the extent of my other Christmas decorations.  I have high hopes of someday doing a lot more.

My Favorite Place

I love zoos, any kind of zoo.  They just make me happy.  My sweet husband, who really dislikes the zoo, takes me pretty much anytime we are close to one.  I could spend hours and hours there and never get bored.  It is harder to stay as long as I would like with two little people that have their own ideas, but I still get to go and that is all that matters.  D likes to go but really just wanted to see the snakes and G is still too little to have a opinion. 

 

When we got to the zoo, we found out they had 2 baby elephants.  One is a boy and one is a girl and they were born like 2 months apart.  I was excited to see them. 

 This squirrel was outside of one of the stores and he came like right up to us.  He wanted G's graham cracker.

Great Wolf Videos

Great Wolf 2013

We try to make a trip to the Great Wolf Lodge in Grapevine at least once a summer.  We went this summer in August after most of the state started school.  We had a great time getting to be together as a family, just the 4 of us.  D still loves the water and I think he always will. G was still a little unsure of things but I don't know if it was the noise of the fountains and things or the actual water.  I think it was more about being in a strange place with new sounds but I am just not sure.  Either way we had a good time.  D went down some of the bigger slides and enjoyed them.  He also found the deeper pools and was happy to float around in them with his life jacket on.  He is getting so big and I think everyday about he is growing way to fast.  I guess that is what kids do but I wish I could slow him down a little most days, although there days I wish that he was a little more grown up.  I have some videos that I will try to get up in the next few days.  We love the great wolf and D asks all the time when we get to go back.  I am thankful that this is something we have to opportunity to go. 

 

There is a pizza place that we all love in Grapevine so we have to make sure we get pizza a couple of times while we are there.

 Daddy and D spend lots of time playing the Magic Quest game.  D usually gives up and leaves daddy alone at some point though.

 G wanted to be touching one of us at all times.
