7 months
Baby G was 7 months old yesterday. I was going to do this yesterday but between having to take G to get his flu shot and being sick I just didn't get around to it. We have no monthly checkup this time so I have to measure and weigh him myself. He is around 28 1/2 inches and weighs a little over 18 pounds. My baby scale broke so I that is as close as I could get. He is growing like a weed. He only has to grow another 1/2 before he reaches to height limit of his car seat. We will be moving him up soon I guess. I don't really want to do that because his little car seat fits on his stroller and it is so much easier than having to use a big one. Oh well, we will do what we have to do. G has started rolling over really well and has started trying to sit up a little. He can only do it for a few seconds right now but he is getting better everyday. He has also started getting up on his knees during tummy time and when he starts to move D's life is going to be much different. I don't think that D will like it at all. G is still a very mellow baby unless he gets hungry and then you better watch out. He doesn't do hungry. He still loves to play peek-a-boo. He puts things on his head and waits for you to ask "where is G?" before he takes it off. It is pretty cute. I have it on video so I will try to put it on here sometime. Here are the pictures that I took this month. The thing that stands out to me in these pictures is how blue his eyes are.

Lubbock Fair
We took D to the fair when it was in Lubbock so he could ride a few rides. It was pretty funny to watch him. He would ride and then when he got off he would look underneath the ride to see how it worked. He wants to know the in and outs of everything. When his daddy is working on things he ask all kinds of questions wanting to know how it works and how it fix it. He probably knows more about how things work than I do.
In this picture he is checking things out.
This car ride went really fast around the corners so he kept putting his head down on the turns. We were afraid that he was getting sick but he got off and said it was fun.
This is what G did the whole time. He was prefectly content the whole time.
We couldn't leave without riding the bulldozers.

Trying to get teeth
This is G newest face that he makes. I think he only does it when his mouth his really bothering him. I wish that babies got teeth faster tahtn they do. They seem to take forever to come in. D never really had much of a problem with his teeth so hopefully G will be the same way.

Following in his brother's footsteps
G already enjoys cars. Of course he doesn't have much of a choice since they are but in his face daily. D will even sit next to him and explain to him everything the car he is showing him does. It usually goes well until G tries to touch the car and then sometimes that is not okay. It is pretty sweet to watch D when he talks to G. G pays very close attention, smiles and laughs a lot. I hope that they will enjoy each other when they are older.

The Great Wolf
We took a trip to The Great Wolf after school started for most kids and letf me tell you that was the time to go. We had the best time and there were very few other people there. Before when we were there you had to wait for everything including the elevator and there were no lines at all. D really enjoyed it and G was very unsure of the situation.
They have a game that you can play through the halls of the hotel where you have a magic wand. They give you quest to do and you have to go find all the things it is talking about and gather gold in the process. D and his daddy did this together and I only tagged along to get a few pictures. You have to climb the stairs because if you get on the elevator it clears your score, so mama didn't really want to climb up and down 8 flights of stairs holding G.
These pictures are from the indoor water park at the hotel.

6th month comparsion
I think that they are looking less and less alike. It looks like from these pictures that D was a lot more chubby but he actually weighed less than G does right now. It just seems like that because G is so much longer than D was at this age. It looks to me like their faces are still the same shape and they have the same nose, but other than that I don't see much that is the same at this point. I really have no idea who G takes after. I think they are both pretty precious though.
I just put these pictures in because both of them are looking like what is she doing to me.
