What has D been up to

I feel kind of like the baby has taken over the blog and I wanted to put up the things D has been doing also.  He has asked to be outside everyday.  That is his favorite place to be.  We also got a couple more crates, which D now calls his green box.  He likes most of the activities, but some of them are a little over his head.  We have been having a great summer.  My husband has been around a lot so we have gone to the show a few times, including the drive in and have spent lots of time in the little pool in our yard.  Right now D's favorite thing is monster trucks and we talk about them all the time.  He really liked making the firefly and I thought it was pretty cool also.

4 months

Baby G is growing so fast.  He seems a lot bigger than D did at this age, but maybe I just don't remember.  We went to the doctor yesterday and he is 25 inches long and weighs 14 pounds 10 ounces.  Both of those numbers are close to the 50th percentile so the doctors think he looks great.  He has started laughing a little bit in the last few days and it is the sweetest sound.  Of course I will never get it on video because they always stop as soon as they see it.  His personality is still very different than D's.  One big thing is he hates water and D would be in water all the time if he could.  I am hoping that will change a little as G gets bigger.  G still won't take a binky but has started to suck on one of his fingers instead.  He is sleeping between 9 and 10 hours at night so I couldn't ask for any more in that area.  I just wish he liked riding the car a little more or would at least tolerate it.  Oh well, everything else with him is great.  We have been very blessed when it comes to our boys.

14 years

Today I have been married for 14 years.  I just wanted to take a minute to say how blessed I feel by my husband.  He has helped me through lots of stuff in the last 14 years and he still loves me just as much as he ever did.  He makes me feel special every day and I would not trade him for anything.  He made sure I finished me college degree and pushed me even when I wanted to quit.  He helped me when I was looking for a teaching job, the first and second time, and he was always my rock.  No matter how down I got he would pick me up again.  In the last few years he has made sure that I got to stay at home with our boys.  I am lucky to have him in my life.  I don't know what I would do without him.  Thank you for the last 14 years and I am looking forward to many many more.

Our daddy is pretty awesome.  We all love him very much.  Thank you daddy for all that you do for us.  We are very blessed to have you.

Fourth of July

We attended a 4th of July parade on June 30th.  I know that is crazy, but that is when the town I grew up in chose to have their celebration.  We went down to visit family and enjoy the festivities.
