River 2013

We went back to the Frio river again this summer.  We didn't go last year so this was the first trip for G.  I didn't take as many pictures as I have before because it is much harder to take them with two kids to watch.  G doesn't really like to be cold so it wasn't his favorite thing but he did okay.  We let D float down the river for the first time this year.  He did okay but didn't really understand why we weren't in the water.  He would have much rather been playing in the water than sitting on the tube.  I have no pictures of him floating.  It was raining and cloudy the whole time we were there so it wasn't too hot. It was a nice trip.  We enjoyed spending time with family and had a blast with the golf cart we rented.

Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day!!!

These boys are lucky to have a daddy as awesome as you.  They think you hung the moon.  You are amazing with them.  You get on the floor and wrestle, you swim, and you jump on the trampoline.  Those are memories that the boys will always have.  They love you more than you will ever know.  I am so thankful that they have you in their lives.  Thank you for working so hard and allowing me to stay home and enjoy everyday with them.  We are all blessed by you.  I love to so much!!!!!!!

Play dough

D and I worked on the letter P a few weeks ago and were going to make play dough to go along with it.  The day we had it planned we ended up spending most of the afternoon and the cellar because of tornadoes in our area.  We made it anyway, just a little late.  I decided to let G play with some too since I made it and knew it wouldn't hurt him if he put it in his mouth.  He did put it in his mouth but spit it out really quick.  It is really salty.  I let D pick the colors and they didn't turn out that great.  I should have used my gel food coloring instead.  They didn't care what color it was and it ended up getting mixed all together anyway.

What a Mess

This kid and food equals a mess.
Why does he have bananas on his head?  I have no idea but he had a great time putting them there.

Not long after I took these pictures he started throwing spaghetti o's on the floor.  D started laughing at him which just made it worse.  Needless to say they were everywhere in about 30 seconds.  This lead to a discussion about set an example for your little brother and not laughing when they do something wrong.  I am sure I will have that same discussion many times in the future.  His eyes still blow my mind everyday.
