Elf 2013 Week One

D has changed our elf's name about 4 times so far but I think we have finally settled on Sam.  Again this year he is just playing along.  I know this because I forgot to move him one day and D didn't notice.  The other reason I know this is because unless he is within his sight he doesn't even look for him.  Oh well!! I will just keep doing it and maybe when G gets bigger he will enjoy it.

Sam brought us a new Christmas book.

 He wrote on D's shoes
Played tic tac toe with G's frog
 Left us a special breakfast
Made a Q-tip snowflake because it was snowing outside
I forgot to move him for Saturday so I only have five for last week since our breakfast was Sunday.  We have also been doing our advent things kind of.  I have some pictures of those but not too many.  I will have to get better about it.  I have been lazy!!!!!

This Kid

I had pictures taken of D when he was little in this outfit and decided I wanted to make sure I had some of G.  The ones I had taken of D were in a studio so they are a little better than the ones I took of G but at least I have some.

These are a few of the ones I had taken of D just so you can see the difference.

Trucks with Daddy

D has always loved the module trucks at the gin and now G loves them also.  It is actually one of the only things that I can say is the same about them.  Back before we got really busy Daddy came and got the boys and took them for a ride around the block.  G wasn't to sure at first but he went and D was just bouncing with excitement.  I am glad that my husband does stuff like this with the boys that they will remember forever.

Christmas Season is Here

I love this time of year.  I always have but my reasons now are very different than they used to be.  I am glad that D is getting old enough to have fun with the season.  G is not really old enough to care.  Right now all he wants to do is undecorated the tree and open the presents underneath it.

Our elf "Fred" arrived this morning.  He brought breakfast with him and while I thought it was great it was not the biggest hit with the boys.

For our Advent activity today, we (I) made a count down chain for D so that he would have another way to know how many days it was until Christmas.  He didn't really want anything to do with it and when I went in his room tonight at bed time it was already destroyed.  Lesson learned.

Punkin Days 2013

My family came up to enjoy the festivities again this year.  There is really not a lot to do so it is very nice of them to drive all the way up here for it.  It is always nice to have them come up to my neck of the woods.

Riding the pumpkin train.

Trying to get pictures of the boys in the pumpkins is always an adventure.

D was excited when the older cousins got there.
