We took our annual trip to the Frio over Father's Day weekend. When we got there the river was pretty low but after an eventful evening, complete with tornado warnings, the river rose a little. It was moving fast after the rain and D and I almost floated away just playing in it. G is not as much of a water lover as D, but he liked it okay. He does better when he is sitting on dry land or on one of us but he didn't scream the whole time. D is as much of a fish as ever. He just loves the water and would stay in it all day if given that choice. Oakley liked the river more than Chopper did, but we didn't make him float down the river like we did Chopper, so he might not have liked it as much if we had. Mom brought lots of toys and bubble things for the kids to play with so they were never bored. We spent lots of time outside and D loved having all his cousins around. It was a great weekend spent with family and we are looking forward to next year.
I let the boys take a bubble bath a few days ago and they had a blast. Who knew bubbles would be so entertaining? This was G's first time ever and he thought it was great. He kept says "Bubbles in my hands." It was neat to watch him make a new discovery. Now every time he takes a bath he wants bubbles.
D graduated from preschool on Friday. He was so excited and the program was really cute.
These are his first day of school pictures.
These are the last day. It is amazing how much they change in a few short months. He is so ready for kindergarten. He ask just about everyday when he gets to go and most days I am ready to send him. I hope that when he figures out he has to go everyday he will still like it.
I have been married to my husband for 15 years and we have been blessed with two beautiful boys. I get to stay home and see how they grow and change everyday. We are having a great time.
