Happy Birthday/Valentine's Day to me

I got a shiny new sink in my kitchen.  I love it.  It is way easier to clean than the one my wonderful husband took out and it is also deeper.  It is fantastic.  I know that pretty soon I will be spending lots of time standing there washing bottles. It will be much nicer than what I had.  Thank you sweetheart!!!

February snow

This is what it looked like today at our house.  We got about 4 inches of snow yesterday.  It was nice to have the moisture but it was not fun to drive in on our way home from New Mexico.  I took these pictures about 11 this morning.  It was really nice outside despite how it looks.  The wind was calm and it wasn't that cold.  D liked it until his hands got too cold and then he got upset.  He was even more upset when I made him go inside though. 

 My attempt at a snowman.  This is hard to do when you are 8 1/2 months pregnant.

 This is what my front yard looks like now.  Gotta love west Texas weather!  It is supposed to be over 60 degrees tomorrow.



Today I turn 35

I don't really know why it is such a big deal to me, but it seems like such a big number. I look at the number 35 and think I am now half way to 40.  I have never really cared about age at all, but I just feel old.  It is probably because I am 8 months pregnant and chasing a 3 year old all day, but that is how I feel. Maybe it is because I think I am too old to be having a baby, although I am glad we waited as long as we did so I that I had the chance to stay home.  I am sure that a few weeks after the baby gets here all will be back to normal.  Right now I think I will go to the kitchen and make myself a cake.  I am sure that I deserve it.

 He provides me with lots of laughs during the day.  I just can't believe the things he comes up with. 

Our other pets

My husband decided that he wanted a salt water aquarium.  He has spent lots of time researching and finding just the right fish.  It has turned out really neat and D really enjoys watching it.  D gets up each morning and look for the fish he likes and loves it the most when he finds the crabs.  We are all really enjoying all of R's hard work.  I took some pictures of our fish, but they don't really do them justice.

This is a yellow tang.  We have a shrimp that rides on him sometimes to clean him off.

 This is called a bliney.  He lives in the holes in the rocks.  The back half of him is yellow and he is fun to watch.  He actually backs into the holes.

 D calls this one the mad fish. 

Little guy

I can't wait to meet this smiling face in about 8 weeks.  I am getting excited, especially now that he has a name!!!!!

Projects

I have spent some time lately working on some projects for my little sister's nursery and baby.  I have been in a creative mood lately and can't seem to get it out of my system.  I don't guess that is a bad thing since I have finished several things that have been months and a maybe even years in the making.  I just wanted to share some of the things I have done. 

She is doing "The Very Hungry Catapiller" in the nursery some I painted her some pictures for the wall.

 This is baby G's blanket.  I plan on making him a bigger one at some point.
