This Kid Cracks Me Up

I had this box out the other day and G spent probably close to an hour doing this over and over again.  I guess I should be proud he never gives up.  It was funny to watch and he never cried no matter how many times he fell off.  I have no idea what he was trying to do but I don't think he ever did it.

The Way G Sits

Every since he started crawling G has one way that he sits most of the time.  He keeps one legs bent and sticks the other one out in front of him.  I think he does this for 2 reasons.  He can move faster when he is ready to crawl again and because it gives him better balance when his older brother runs by as close as he can get.  It is just something we are used to now so I want to make sure I remember it when he gets older.

Table

D has a train table that he hasn't played with much lately.  One side of it has a train scene and the other side was blank so I turned it into a monster truck track.  He has played with it a lot since I finished it and really likes to have his "big shows" there.  I just used some blocks that we already had and cut them to make the ramps and things I wanted.  It was definitely worth my time.

This is how he sets it up.  All the trucks have there place.  They usually drive around for a little while and then go back to their spots.

10 months

The last 10 months have gone very quickly.  I can't believe that G is almost a year old.  He is growing so much it just blows my mind.  Last time I had him at the doctor he was 30 1/4 inches long and weighted 21. 14.  One day this week he wore the onesie that D wore on his second birthday.  He is still the most precious baby.  He doesn't have a lot to say but smiles all the time.  He wants to do everything that D does and gets a little upset when he can't.  He has no interest in baby toys and is always trying to get his brothers things.  He has started pulling up on things but doesn't know how to get back down yet.  I am sure he will be walking before I am ready.

This is how he really feels.

4th Birthday Party

D's favorite thing right now is monster trucks.  I know I have already told the 3 people who read this that, but in case you didn't know you will now.  He wanted a monster truck party.  I made this party much harder on myself than it had to be, but I had fun doing all of it.  I tried to give all of the food names that would go with monster trucks and I was actually pretty proud of myself.   It turned out all right.  I used the internet and pinterest to help me with my names.  I had monster truck cookies the I called "monster munchies," carrots and celery sticks called "fuel rods" apples and grapes put together to look like cars "monster truck toys," chex mix called "nuts and bolts," chocolate covered pretzel rods called "mud covered axles," pixi sticks called "oil dip sticks," iced tea called "motor oil," and Hawaiian punch called "high octane fuel."  I cheated on the cake and used box mix and ready made frosting but it still got eaten.  I know that D enjoyed it and that is all that matters.
