D's 3 Year Old Pictures

I got D's pictures taken the other day and I just wanted to share some of my favorites.  He is such a goof ball.  We love him so much and love that he makes us laugh every day.  The poor boy got his mother's squinty eyes.  He is still cute though. 

D's blanket

Yes I know that D is 3 years old, but I did finally get him a blanket made.  I know I have made them for lots of babies, I just never got around to making one for my own baby.  His big boy room is pirates, so I made one to go along with that.  My goal is to get one made for this baby before he is 2, surely I can get it done by then.  I would hate to push my self too hard.  The first few of these I made I sewed on one strip at a time and it took forever to do.  I have been sewing the strips together on my serger and then putting the two pieces together and it is much easier.  The only problem is that the edges don't turn out the same.  I have decided that is an okay trade off though.  I am just glad I can finally say I got it done. 

Roswell Trip

We wanted to take one more trip to Roswell before the new baby get here so we used this weekend to go.  We were excited the our cousin H got to go with us.  H and D had a wonderful time together. They even got to ride out there with Gran and Grumpy.  They visited the whole trip and were very excited to see Grandma and Grandpa.  It is always special to see great grandparents.  They played lots of games and read lots of books with Grandma.

Thank you to Grandma and Grandpa for letting us come and visit.  We had a wonderful time.

Happy Birthday/Valentine's Day to me

I got a shiny new sink in my kitchen.  I love it.  It is way easier to clean than the one my wonderful husband took out and it is also deeper.  It is fantastic.  I know that pretty soon I will be spending lots of time standing there washing bottles. It will be much nicer than what I had.  Thank you sweetheart!!!

February snow

This is what it looked like today at our house.  We got about 4 inches of snow yesterday.  It was nice to have the moisture but it was not fun to drive in on our way home from New Mexico.  I took these pictures about 11 this morning.  It was really nice outside despite how it looks.  The wind was calm and it wasn't that cold.  D liked it until his hands got too cold and then he got upset.  He was even more upset when I made him go inside though. 

 My attempt at a snowman.  This is hard to do when you are 8 1/2 months pregnant.

 This is what my front yard looks like now.  Gotta love west Texas weather!  It is supposed to be over 60 degrees tomorrow.



Today I turn 35

I don't really know why it is such a big deal to me, but it seems like such a big number. I look at the number 35 and think I am now half way to 40.  I have never really cared about age at all, but I just feel old.  It is probably because I am 8 months pregnant and chasing a 3 year old all day, but that is how I feel. Maybe it is because I think I am too old to be having a baby, although I am glad we waited as long as we did so I that I had the chance to stay home.  I am sure that a few weeks after the baby gets here all will be back to normal.  Right now I think I will go to the kitchen and make myself a cake.  I am sure that I deserve it.
