June Kiwi Crate

D like this one a lot.  He got into it probably more than he has any of the others.  He did really well with it too.  He is slowly getting better at coloring and writing, so he actually did more of this one than he has the rest.  He still didn't color everything, but he did a lot more of it.   In this one we made a collection box and a lantern.  He liked the collection box the best.  As soon as it was finished we had to go outside and find things for it.  He found all of the things by himself and I was impressed with what he found.  He originally had rocks for the brown and grey squares but found the feather and decided to use it for grey instead of the rock.  He didn't want 2 rocks because they were the same.  He even wrote his name on the box himself.  He is getting so big. 

 

 

I love this man

Nothing make me happier than watching my sweet husband with his boys.  When he opens the back door coming in from work they both stop whatever they are doing to go see him.  G does this all the time but sometimes D is too busy to actually go to the door.  D will always yell "Hi Daddy" from wherever he is though.  They just love to be with daddy and I love to see it.

 



May Kiwi Crate

I loved this one.  It was birds and it was a lot of fun, mostly because of the costume he got to make.  He loved it and ran around in it for a while.  I thought it was very cute. We also got to decorate and paint some eggs and make a nest out of yarn. 



15 years

Fifteen years ago today I married the love of my life.  I can't believe that he has put up with me for so long.  I am so thankful everyday that he choose me.  I can't say that I thought I would ever be a country girl but I love my life.  My husband works hard everyday so that I get to stay home with our boys and to makes sure we have all the things we need and lots of things we don't.  He has been a huge blessing to me and there is no way to thank him for all that he has done or tell him how much I love him.  We have grown so much in the last 15 years and I am glad we got to do it together.  One of the things that I am most thankful to him for is making sure that I finished college.  Those years were really hard but we made it through and I am very thankful that I finished.  He was my cheerleader through it all and I will be forever grateful.  I don't know where I would be without him.  He is truly my best friend and I am incredibly lucky.  I am looking forward to many more years together.

Fourth of July Fireworks

Sorry for the giant gap between the parade pictures and these.  Sometimes life just gets in the way.  We watched the fireworks from the boardwalk behind our hotel for the second year in a row.  It was a good place to watch them from because they moved them this year and there were lots of people who had a hard time seeing them from where they were sitting.  We were in a good spot and saw most of them but we even missed a few.  We even got the Martin's to join us.

 Give him a bottle and a lid and it will keep him busy for hours.

 



Fourth of July Parade

We took another trip to my hometown for the fourth.  I like going down there because lots of people make the trip and that is just about the only time I get to see people I went to church and school with.  It is nice to get to see old friends every once in a while.  The lake is really low so it seemed like there were less people this year.  It was hot and the parade seemed really long.  D liked it for a little while and then he was ready to go inside and play.  G liked walking around and playing with the wagon.  G didn't watch the parade at all. I took no pictures of the actual parade.  It was just your normal parade with cars, firetrucks, and a few horses.  They didn't even throw that much this year so there wasn't a lot to do but watch.  There was one float that was handing out pop-ice and the kids thought that was great.  It was a nice way to cool off a little bit.
